If the igniter glows but the burner doesn t light then at least you know all the components in the control circuit are getting power. Before beginning disconnect the appliance from the gas supply. When all parts of the dryer are operational the ignitor will heat and begin to glow producing enough heat to ignite the gas once the valve opens. To determine if the igniter has burned out u se a multimeter to test the igniter for continuity.

Remove the igniter and test it for continuity using a multi meter.
